I am very thankful to have chosen this school. I love how All the instructors take their time to teach you. The business staff is very professional. The manager Abby really went out her way to help me Excel. The director Jessie is Awesome and the examiner Ray is one of the best examiners they could have at the school. I can go on and on about how Great this school is. Im grateful to have been a student here. Im now an official CDL trucker.
Luis was very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. He walked me through every step of the process for enrolling in school, and made sure I was aware of the financial aid programs. He also gave me his personal cell so I could call or text him if I had any questions. My experience enrolling into American Truck Training was easy and has exceeded my expectations.
Thank you!!
I obtained my Class A CLD at ATT. Although I initially had doubts about the process I do not regret selecting this program. It seems unreasonable to assume you will have your CDL in five weeks. However, I saw a number of students pass their exams in as little as six weeks. If you're in a hurry, arrive on day one with a permit and a medical card and skip the classroom time.
Additionally, it is essential to show up when the weather sucks. Many people will not be there when it sucks, and you will get their time. I acquired a great deal of extra time to practice the most difficult maneuvers when it sucked to be there, and it paid off when I ended up with Alley Dock on my test.
It's easy to complain about the crowded stations and the number of times a truck broke down. It is what it is; unskilled drivers are very hard on trucks. Many people need more time to train. I doubt any other school is as accommodating to the needs of their students after they've already paid. Try to trust, Abby. I highly recommend ATT if you need to work part-time while you're training, but I can not stress how much faster you will complete the process if/when you drop everything else and show up every day and stay until released.
Another beautiful morning at American Truck Training!
As long as you’re willing to learn, the faculty and staff are great to work with!
American Truck Training is a great school. The instructors were very knowledgeable at what they teach wether it’s maneuvers, real world trucking, driving or bringing it back to the basics with pre-trip, plenty of years under their belts. the office staff makes the process very quick and painless too. Overall I would recommend this school to anyone that is looking to get a CDL.
I took the weekends classes because I have a full time job so it was great fit for me all the instructors were very helpful they are all dedicated to their job they go the extra mile for you! Abby was always answering my questions when I had them I want to thank few instructors- Don, John, Erik, Shawn , Charles , Jacob and mainly pj even helped me on my last day of class on his break so I could be ready for test day!!! I recommend the school to everyone
Update: I want to thank all staff for being kind and patient while teaching me the world of truckers. Because of you I have progressed in my field. Here is a pic of my new ride.
I was a one & done. My recruiter Erica was very knowledgeable about how to get my school paid for and also allowed me to research other companies before I made my final decision. I was told I would be finished with the program in 20 days. I held them to it and did what I had to do to make it out in 20. There are some great instructors. Former A & A so calm and patient. Coach watch your trailer. Mr. What are you doing, stop over thinking it, it aint gota be perfect. Ms. Lady on the yard so soft spoken. Mr. Cool with the straw hat, shorts, n long white socks I aint helping you. Mr. Stay on the whistle and instruct you from his chair. Ms. Abbey did an amazing job staying in contact with me as i didnt go straight to work after graduation. At the time of my attendance class sizes were way to big. There was over 40 students out on the yard so move reps were slim. The equipment could be a little better. Not enough drive time. All in all in I'm greatful for the experience. You get out of it what you put into it.
My honest review of American truck training. The trainers are very knowledgeable and patient with the students . The office staff are very helpful and go out of their way to make sure your concerns are addressed.. when I started here they had quite a few trucks in the shop (which they worked hard to get back up and running as quickly as possible) which made things a little bit frustrating some days , but you just have to focus and push through it . This is truly a school that you will get out what you put in !! . I had never been in a tractor trailer, let alone drove one .. thanks to American truck training I passed my CDL test on the first try in 4 1/2 weeks Thank you to all the staff at American truck training!!!!! you guys are awesome!!!!!
